Sharing the Sunrise - Digital Artwork (Feng Shui inspired)

This was created to fill a blank white wall above our staircase of our new home. I love the world of Feng Shui so I used It to give art direction to this piece. It was placed In the Center section of the home which Is also known as the Health section in Feng Shui. It's the core of the home and represents your health and touches all other areas of life. Primary Element: Earth

Best Colors: Earth Tones & Yellow

Best Shapes: Horizontal, Flat, Squared

Complementary Shapes: Pointed & Triangular It's also closely linked to the East sector, representing overall balance and vitality. The primary element of this section is earth, so I designed this with earth in mind. Usage of images of nature wos key and so I designed mountain views, hills with trees and shrubs. I brought In earth tones as well as Injecting bright colors of yellow and red. Placing the view of the sunrise In red to give the element of fire.

On a personal design preference, I wanted the trees to look more like bonsais as those trees are special to me. (My mother loves bonsais and at one point even designed her known for a few years) I also am attracted to the paper art style and Its layering effects so I wanted to incorporate that Into the piece. I am a fan of the iconic woodblock print "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" by Katushika Hokusai In 1831. He had Mount Fuji In the background so I thought I'd give a nod to that In the back of my piece. Then lastly to bring It all together, I added 2 Geisha women with their backs turned and holding hands looking toward the sunrise and sharing that moment together. That represents my wife and I as we share this household and this life together filled with hope as we look forward to every new sunrise. - Nabuki
